Active members
Active members are those who technologists who are current active members of the ASRT and/or registered by the ARRT or the NMTCB or the ARDMS

Associate Members
Associate members are those who support the aim of the Society, but who do not qualify for active membership.

Student Members
Student members are those students enrolled in an accrediated educational program. Eligibility for this category shall terminate upon completion of or discontinuation in the educational program.

Graduate Members
Graduate members are those who have recently completed an educational program and no yet become registered by the ARRT, the NMTCB, or the ARDMS. Once registered and upon notification to the ISSRT, these members become active members.

Life Members
Life members are members who have rendered unusual service to the Society. Life members are selected by a majority vote at a regular meeting, upon unanimous recommendation of the Board of Directors.
Emeritus Members
Emeritus members are those persons who have maintained membership in the society for a minimum of ten (10) years and who have retired from employment in healthcare. Emeritus candidates must apply for this status to the Board of Directors in writing and renew their membership annually.
